About the Role:
As a Technical Program Manager at AppHarvest, you will drive strategic project planning, execution, and development for a fast-paced, interdisciplinary technical team dedicated to building a more sustainable world with technology. This is a critical role for the company that offers a unique opportunity to define how cutting-edge automation solutions are integrated into greenhouse facilities. What You'll Do:
Work with internal and external clients to develop strategic plans for the integration of greenhouse automation solutions that improve operational efficiencies Determine project scope, schedule, costs and risks; take responsibility to oversee projects from beginning to end Coordinate and facilitate resources to mitigate risks and keep projects on track, within budget Establish standard reports to provide effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues, and accomplishments Maintain high level of communications with cross-functional team, vendors, and executive team Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. years of experience in technical project management Strong technical background with a BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline Demonstrated experience managing complex technology projects with aggressive schedules and evolving product requirements Well-organized and analytical mindset, solving problems with the big picture in focus Excellent communication with a talent for translating complex technical issues or ideas to a wider audience Capability to clearly and concisely document processes, then apply continuous improvement Ability to foster and build a collaborative working relationship with various stakeholders Proficient with the tools, processes and best practices as it relates to project management Solid working knowledge of Agile methodologies Solid working knowledge of ITSM frameworks Proficient with the tools required to manage complex projects (i.e. JIRA/Atlassian) Demonstrated ability to move seamlessly between levels of abstraction, from system to detailed implementation Commitment to highly effective communication and documentation, with an unrelenting focus on customer success
